Founder Nancy Caruso was inspired at the age of 10 to become a Marine Biologist. She was enrolled in a special program at her school
that pulled students out of their classrooms and let them explore art and science with all their senses. She recalls one day in the 4th grade
when she was constructing the continental plates out of plaster of paris as part of the curriculum for plate tectonics. She explains, "That moment
clicked for me. I have wanted to be a Marine Biologist ever since."
Science is all about asking questions. It takes a creative mind to ask the right questions. Nancy believes that future scientific discoveries are only limited by our creativity. The loss of arts programs in our schools has created a need for curricula that encourage imaginative thinking and that allows students to explore their creative talents. Our programs are designed to inspire creativity while discovering the world of science.
